Trip to Ocros Acas

Ok, I thought I was done with trips, but it seems that the Lord wanted me to keep going to Peruvians mountains. This time it was a bit different, we were only guys. Three Americans, three translators, a Peruvian missionary and our boss, um, I think some sort of Peruvian and American, I just don’t know what he is exactly . But the Lord uses His servants in such a way that goes beyond our understanding.
The trip was off the hinge, we got there after a day of travel and lots of really tight curves that made us pray not to fall off the cliffs. It actually reminds me the trip to Santiago de Chocorvos- Huancavelica. So we got there and there was not a place for us to stay and the driver was concerned for the Americans and asked some local people to give us the local comunal ( community center) and all of this happened in the darkness since there was no electricity at this time of the night. There was sort of a big room right next to the Catholic Church and it had a bull head hanging right above the door’s frame.
We spent several days just talking to people and having Bible studies at night. We took turns sharing the Word every night, Ivan shared his awesome testimony of how God has changed his life, and so each one of us did so as well. It was really neat to see all of us ministering to these people. We also helped bringing some water from a creek and even though it got me out of breath we just showed with our actions that we should be ready to serve in any way. There were two afternoons when we played soccer and I had the most tiring spot, I was the goally. It helped us to invite the local guys to the Bible studies. One afternoon we decided to hike and on our way we met an old lady with lots of sticks on her back and we ended up inviting her to Bible study , but she didn’t show too much interest , To our surprise she showed up that night and she also brought her mute daughter. Several people accepted the Lord even kids from the school. Oh I had forgotten, yeah, we went to the school and played several games, sang songs and did skits. At the end the girls colored stories and the kids played soccer with us. All of them did the salvation prayer; God will take care of his little kids.
And so we came back after praying again on the way so we didn’t fall off the cliff.
