Uhm, It has indeed been a while. Number 2?

Ok I know last update was in June 2009.
Word!! That is exactly why I said last time I updated this blog.
It has been a complete year.
Your servant is coming to you through this means.

Apologies to those who find the many mistakes I make when using a second language. Still, I believe something good could be taken out of a person's experiences, doings, errands, mistakes and learning.

My goal is to summarize more than a whole year into a not too long update this time.

After living with the Alderete Family I decided to move out and live with my family in Huaycán. My cousin Miguel and I had intense moments sharing life together. Playing guitar and talking about his family. His life is a completely different book.

School was going on. Doing some small projects in Naña. I had to do a sort of Student Teaching. I tried to teach a bunch of teenagers on Sundays. Only a few came and were taught the little I had to offer. On the contrary, younger students had more interest and more time to invest into learning a bit more of English, since their classes took place in the mornings.

I would still come to the REAPSouth office on the weekends to practice and use English.
In the months of June-July, the ESL Summer Missionaries were Kelsey Harper, Jessi McLean, Clayton Chapuis and David Maddox.
Drew Jackson and Stephen Reams were part of my weekends back then as well.

What had been happening all that time besides of all this?
Back in April, I re-met an ex-summer missionary who had come to study abroad.
We became very good friends, I had meant to make her my super cool dude friend type of thing, and I guess at some point we became so.
The year was coming to an end so were classes at “La Cantuta”.
Classes were finished and the complete year was gone in a blink of an eye.

The new year started with, I am not quite sure. Very long dialogues with this ex-summer missionary from Alabama on Skype.

Fusion Teams were here. Christopher Burgues was back, how good and nice it was to see him again.
Sadly I was not able to help them at the beginning of their term. Though we had good times at training and the beach. How sweet are the sunsets in summer at the beach.

Ann Tully, the other leader of the team made this time full of God-given insights. A lady with such passion for learning the Word.

I had to take summer classes this time hoping to finish school. News. After registering I found out that I had o take two more Student Teaching classes still.

Jessica Lauren Stephenson came with her parents for her Spring Vacation. I was able to ask this Alabama young lady's parent's permission and blessing to start a boyfriend-girlfriend relationship. They gave us their approval and so in March, the woman and the man started a new stage in their lives.

Summer Classes finished and I had time till next Student Teaching Class started. Decided to help the Fusion Team. I went to Tambo to help Ann Tully's team.

Spent about two weeks there. God still remained faithful to all of the human kind.

Came back and went on short trips.

Then after this God had very, very intense times in store for his servant. Since I was going to do another two months of Student Teaching in Chosica. God made it work for me to serve in Matucana through a church from Florida who has adopted this area.

A few days right before the summer started Brother Mike made some phone calls and the Lord put a team together. Miriam Horna and Kayla Buchanan made my team. We were the Matucana Team.
Two months were spent for real super fast.

Miriam taught me lots of patience, understanding and knowledge of the Word. Through Kayla the Lord taught me patience as well, not only that, but he allowed to lead her into the Peruvian Culture, into living with Peruvian partners. She indeed became like my little sister and it was indeed very neat.

With all that said, the Lord had in mind other events that would cause a huge impact in my life. These were brought thanks to Jessica Lauren Stephenson. I am learning how to share my innermost thoughts and desires with the Little One God has put in my way.

Summer ended, again. And as I am typing this update, sitting here on the couch at the Ovalo Gutierrez Starbucks, my brain is thinking about tomorrow. I will be teaching my very first class of my very last Student Teaching class.

I will be back sooner than last time. That is what I said before.
