quick update

We made it to Puquio.
The Lord has been good, so extremely good. After Marcabamba Pastor
Evaristo, Pastor Daryl Brown and Solomon visited Corculla. A place who
has zero and I mean, zero evangelical presence. Talked to some people
and tried to share with locals who claim to be catholic.
Ps Evaristo is an accountant so he has the gift of talking about
business, which I think is a really good tool to break the ice and get
into talking with people.
We hiked down to Pampachacra. They said it was going to be 45 min. It
took us more than 2 hours, ha! And this was all the way down the
mountain!
In Pampachacra we stopped and asked a lady to cook for us. Pedro and I
had been here before so I knew this woman's husband. She kindly cooked
for us. While she was cooking we talked to some people as they passed
by. There was man who face was familiar to me. He travels the area
fixing shoes, clothes, selling stuff. He has a sturdy sowing machine.
So I had my shoes fixed and my backpack as well. Maclin, a student
whom Matt and I taught last year, passed by with a baby in her arms.
She is 16 years old and her baby is about 16 days old by now.
After we ate Sra Maria, the lady that cooked for us asked us to stay
and teach her the Word. We had a neat time going through the Bible.
She did not know where book or chapters were at. First lesson to be
taught. We prayed for her son who has leukemia.

Then we went and visited a lady who again had asked us to come see
her. Yenny. She has three daughters. Two were there. We shared from
Creation to Christ story. We prayed over her family and life. Her
husband was a bit cold towards us. He left without wanting to hear us.
She asked us to come back to continue to teach her the Word.

We walked down and caught a van. Sweet short ride to Ushua. MAde it
there and started greeting everyone I knew of and introduced to both
pastors. Then we went and talked to Sra Florencia and Mr Adalberto.
THey both are very catholic. WE have developed a good relationship
with them.

Just so that you have an idea of these travels. Vehicles leave early
morning. About 4 or 5am. So by now we are tired and I mean tired.
Got in to Juan Frias house. THis is the man whom Matt and I lived with
last year.

Got up at 4am again and waited for our van to take us to Oyolo.
There we saw Teresa, Isabel and Mariluz Villa. All of them said they
have forgotten and grown cold with the Lord.

Visited sra Clara whose husband is the man who fixes shoes and
leahtherd stuff. And then sister Sara. We had a very long talk and
prayed over her spiritual struggles.

A van was waiting on us and off we were headed back to Marcabamba. We
passed and visited very briefly through Pomacocha and Colta.

MAde it there and gathered the church at night. WAit before this I was
able to play some soccer with the police men. I was the goally. We
lost our two matches. It felt good!! not loosing but exercising.

Church time. THere were several. We prayed and encouraged them to be
strong in the faith. Please pray for the church iN Marcabamba. They
are going through a time where the Lord needs to bring restoration,
forgiveness and restoration between the believers.

LEft next morning at 4am. MAde it to Pauza. Talked to Pastor Antonio.
Pastor Evarito had to leave for Lima. He had a meeting in the jungle.

Sweet time in his house with much needed two cups of black coffee at
brother Antonios house .yeah!! Prayed for one another.
Took off and traveled, ALL DAY LONG! my butt was so sore by when we
made it to Puquio last night.
We are meeting a brother in a little bit. We are on our way to Lima to
debrief, talk, plan, pray, work our strategie and Lord's willing come
back to the mountains

Little praise. This trip I was sick most of the time. Stomach
problems. I went to the restroom this morning and finally defecated
something a little bit more solid.

Pray without ceasing.

Bro Salomon
